Mine were not color contaminated. I raised and sold a lot of them, and a few Bielefelders, until I perfected my Welbars. Once I had my Welbars 100% autosexing, they proved to be better layers and much darker eggs than the Rhodebars or Biels. My space and time have limits, and they simply didn't make the cut. I can't speak to why others also abandoned them. I sure there were many different reasons.Was it the GFF colored egg contamination that caused folks to abandon their Rhodebars? Or something else?
