[My Very First 6 Chickens]

I have 5 lovely gold laced wyanotte hens, 2yrs old that free range a bunch. I spend a lot of time with them so when i noticed all 5 hen heads huddle over something, my interest is perked because I know they found something they are uncertain about. It was a snake! All 6 of us stared and discussed that someone can eat it if they want to. It wasnt big or poisonous. I laughed and laughed watching all 5 play chase with this dangling snake going from one beak to the next.

Update
So I got my three chicks Almanzo, Royal and Amelia in with my 7 big girls they are doing great at first they’d cram in the nest box then manzo started sleeping with the big girls then Amelia and Royal joined him on the roost the next night! Almanzo’s been mating with my hens he’s really a handsome guy! Amelia is adorable and I’ve been cuddling with all my chickens and enjoying them hope my buff Orpington has started to lose some feathers on her head this is before I put in my two cocks and pullet I think Blossom might have been picking on her I think she’s stopped Blossom has always been jealous of my two orpingtons 1 reason is when she was little she was used to having me to herself then we got the orpingtons and when they were out together the orpingtons would hide on my lap so blossom would get mad then Hope was my old rooster’s favorite so yeah but I think she’s been nice again! Then the silkies moved in the little coop Almanzo does not like them fair enough I think there are two cocks out of my four silkies and one of my silkies needed a hair cut it was so funny!

So sadly I had to give my two sweet silkie boys away they were hurting the hens and were frustrated because the run was too small. So they went to a great home lots of room and hens I miss my Lewy and Even!!! I still get pictures though Lewy is extremely handsome! And the two silkie pullets went in with my other flock they’ve all been doing great!!! My little cockerels are handsome and haven’t attacked anyone yet.
