Thermostats

I'm using one I chose it because it did both Celsius and Fahrenheit so that I would have Fahrenheit. Turns out that wasn't a good decision in Fahrenheit it is only adjustable in one degree increments. So I ended up running it on Celsius because it is adjustable in point 1 degree increments. Otherwise the temperature probe very sensitive and works great. I'm on my second hatch with it now eggs due to hatch Saturday. The first hatch with two test run eggs I had 100% hatch rate

So it's working great for me but in hindsight I would have gone with a cheaper one that only runs on Celsius here's a link to Amazon of what I would buy if I did it again
Origin Elitech STC-1000 110V Digital Temperature Controller Centigrade Thermostat w Sensor 2 Relays https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00Y8T9YZG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_cIGYybVBXP3PY
Today is hatch day for you isn't it?! And Quick question! Did you hook one light up to the Thermostat, Or two?

Yes it is hatch day 6 out of 12 so far three others have pipped one of them that is hatched looks very week. I'm running two 40 watt__ what is sold as 40 watt light bulbs on the package it says 29 watt actual usage. That way if one bulb burns out while I'm at work not All Is Lost it has happened it does cause warmer and cooler spots in the incubator but not All Is Lost. Make sure they are connected in parallel not in series your husband should understand. The old cheap Christmas lights are connected in the series if one burns out they all go out if that helps you to understand.

Whoo. I'm ready to have our first hatch! We put the eggs in today! The temp is staying right where it needs to be. Humidity is staying 33-38 and there's no water in there. We only have one bulb on now but I'm gonna get him to put two of them. I stay home almost 24/7 and check it constantly. Plus it's in a closet that has no drafts, And stays 75 Degrees day and night.

The one that looked weak must have just been tired he is up and around now. Here's a close-up of the seventh one unzipping

Awesome!! So glad to hear that! We lost a weak chick the other day so I was hoping he was just tired! My daughter is so excited seeing your pictures! She keeps hearing the chicks tap on the brooder and she goes to running and says "Mama is that the eggs hatching?" Hahaha
