This stand up brooder - how many chicks?

Plywood bottom (1/4") on the big table saves the back and it is easy to catch a chick that needs to be checked. You can reach across it.

I could also do something like this, which seems great

It's not very big at under 5 sq ft, I have no idea where they came up with 50 chicks fitting in there. It's smaller than my brooder (which is just under 9 sq ft) and I consider my brooder good for 4 chicks up to 4 weeks, so...

An elevated rabbit hutch would be a better option if you want something taller.

yeah I was looking at those too -- we decided we're going to stick with the my pet chicken brooder, it's huge, loads of space - 7.5 square feet -- for SMALL chicks

I am seriously peering at it with suspicion for being able to keep many til 6 weeks. It claims on the website (in the link above I shared for it) that it can house 12 chicks for 6 weeks. But I am just thinking they'd be miserable.

We are getting our massive coop in about a week, I think we may just transition them a week or so early. 🤔
