Hi everyone,

I just ordered tiaguard for a chicken having some respiratory issues (wheezy, slight rales), she almost sounds congested. She is an almost one year one Ameracauna hen. She had this about a month or so ago and I just did supportive measures (isolate, vetrx, poultry cell) and she did great. I have never used any antibiotics so I’m not sure how to dose it for one chicken.

Any help would be appreciated!

Reading through some of the posts it got a little confusing. One of them said quote “According to this thread below, dosage is 2 ml per quart/liter or 8 ml per gallon of water. It tastes bad, so you can try flavoring it, and also add it to some feed.” so I did 2ml for a quart and added some sugar in there for taste. I’m assuming that’s okay

When she had it the first time, how long did she have her symptoms? We have an 11.5 week old Polish with the same symptoms and are doing vetrx, electrolyte boost for the last two days so far… we’re worried about her 😢

I would highly recommend the Tiagard listed above. I purchased on Amazon for $27 and it arrived overnight. It's a HUGE bottle. The reveiws were amazing and this is a very affordable option for those who can't take their feather friend to the vet. I would also suggest Oil of Oregano (not Oregano oil), as another thing you can pair with treatment. I purchased it from Vitamin Shoppe for $16. It's supposed to be a natural antibiotic but obviously not going to work in the same capacity as a pharmalogical antibiotic. Hope your baby is doing better!
