We just adopted two baby chicks about a week old. We are going out of town for a few days. With proper food and water will they be ok?

No, they would be alone. They are in a 25 gal. aquarium. Plenty of room to move around. We have it set up very well with heating lamp and other things they need.

i wouldnt do it

I usually go out of town two days a week (my choice) but I am staying home for a month to take care of the chicks. I check them for pasty butt, clean the shavings out of the water, move the light, etc. I would not leave them for more than the length of a workday until they are older, personally.

I usually find something to adjust daily with the young chicks, whether food, water, heat, cleaning, things falling off, pasted butts, etc. May be neighbor or friends can baby sit?

No way would I leave them. Too much can go wrong. The room temp can raise too much, causing brooder temp to go too high. Water can get knocked over or filled with bedding. Lamp could fall...etc., etc. Find someone to keep them for you if you must go away, or take them along.
