Hey guys, I have a quick question for you all. So my sister in law has chickens and she asked me today to come look at one of her Australorps. She's 2 years old closing in on 3 I believe and a few days ago she noticed her comb turning turning pale and her acting lethargic. She is acting way worse today, her skin is BRIGHT white and she's acting rlly lethargic. She is eating and drinking normal but sleeping a lot and looks droopy. I checked her for external parasites, she looks fine from the outside. I'm wondering if there's an overload of internal worms or what???? If anyone has any experience with this I'd be grateful! Thank you!

Would it be possible that it is Round Worms? I looked it up and symptoms include: Pale skin, lethargy, decreased appetite resulting in weight loss and diarrhea. That sounds exactly right to me.......what do you guys think? Any input would be great!!

The immediate problem sounds like anemia, so I suggest getting her iron up asap. After she begins to get some color back and is more energetic, then you and your sister-in-law can address any other issues. Please keep us updated, MamaP.

How might she do that?
