So a year ago, I bred my kikiriki hen with my silkie rooster and I got one chick which is this rooster. His name is blue and he is half silkie and half kikiriki. As you can see, he has regular feathers like his mom but a comb like his dad, an extra finger on both feet like his dad, and feathered feet also like his dad. He got the yellow colors from his mom and I think he’s beautiful. I also have a showgirl silkie pullet who is two months old. In a few months when she starts to lay, I am going to be breeding her to my little rooster. About half of the chicks will come out silkie feathered and half if not all, will come out with no feathers on their neck. I am excited to be breeding them together. They will be making some very tiny silkies and funny kikirikis. If anyone wants to stay updated on how this turns out, I’ll be updating along the way.
