Tip to fix frozen electronic chicken door

Today I figured out how to fix the Run Chicken door when it freezes and figured someone else might have this same issue. For the longest time, I thought it was the motor that was freezing, but it's actually only the door that slides up and down that's freezing.

If the door is frozen stuck in the open position, all you have to do is push forward against the door to break the ice that builds up along the bottom of the door (just above the motor housing). That should free it up.

You might also depending on the door type or brand, run it by timer and mount it on the inside of the coop.
