Too depressed to lay?

My cousin got given one laying hen (wish I spoke to her before she got only one). The hen was laying previously and has now stopped for the last week since arriving in her new home. She’s eating; walking, pooping fine. Sleeps in the nesting boxes.

I figure it’s shock and depression of being in a new place alone that she stopped laying. Thoughts?

Also: Think she would be okay to introduce a couple pullets to since she’s alone? Get the poor gal some company.

Chickens do not like change and she won't laugh until she feels safe in her new environment.
Make sure any new birds are healthy with a 30 day quarantine.
