My friend just sent me polish eggs from her show stock (silver laced) and she said hers are very calm chickens and sometimes they can get spooked by not being able to see someone coming up to them...she recommends talking to them before picking them up so you don't scare them. They love attention.

My 3 10 week old WC Black Polish are my kids favorites out of all our chickens. Mostly because they are easiest to catch, due to not being able to see them coming lol. But once you pick one up, they don't fight to get away and with a little neck scratching they will fall asleep in your lap. I can even turn my White Polish on its back after it falls asleep. I love our Polish!

I do trim a few of their feathers around their eyes sometimes, but you can hardly tell because they have such big poofy heads.

I have 2 polish, 1 wcb and 1 red crested red. The wcb is broody as we speak and is very friendly. The red crested red lives for attention, comes when called, and is just generally nice. I love my polish and I would keep them if we weren't breeding banty rocks
