How to close the space between the door that opens to get the eggs

Could you explain your question a little better please? Also,

Yes. I put the coop up.There is a door that opens to collect eggs and clean the nests. When you close it there is a open space.I dont know how to close that up without also sealing the door. Hoping someone has this coop and has an idea

Yes, as there should be no space. The lid should fit flush with the egg box part. Is this a new coop?

A lot of those coops are poorly designed and built. Could be something as simple as it is not sitting perfectly flat so it is out of whack.
