Truly healthy chocolate recipes for those that love to indulge

Hey just reporting back on this recipe, I made it last night! It was a big hit!! I had to bake mine on 350 for 45 min before the toothpick came out clean.

One tip make sure your beans are well cooked. I used slightly al dente cooked beans b/c I was experimenting a bit. They were still lacto-fermented and cooked, just slightly al dente. They didn't "blend until smooth" very well so the cake was a tad lumpy. HOWEVER, it was still to die for!!!!!!!!!

I made whipped cream with heavy whipping cream, a few drops of stevia and a tsp of vanilla, added strawberries and it was AWESOME!!!

3 pastured egg yolks
1/2 cup of raw honey
1/2 tsp of vanilla
Genlty whip the cream so as to add a bit of air to it.
Raw cream turns to butter fast, so watch out.
Blend in the rest of the ingredients.
Pour into a flat container and freeze.
No need to churn it.
If you want chocolate, add cocoa, and a bit more honey.

Very nourishing!
 
So, I wannna try this, but only have hot cocoa mix in the house. Can I use that, and omit the honey? I know I'll be using processed ingredients, but I want to try this

Yummy!! I buy raw jersey milk and it has a good layer of cream on top, I have got to figure out how to seperate the two. Any suggestions?

I have sheep that I'm going to eventually breed, then milk for my very own source of raw milk and cream and cheese, I CANT WAIT! I've got the hens out in the pasture, so yummy healthy eggs and a source for local raw, unfiltered honey too. Aint life grand!! As my mother used to say, "We live high on the hog", hee hee.


That cake was so moist, that my daughter (bless her little heart) left it slightly uncovered over night. The next day (last night) we discovered it was not wrapped properly (but we ate it anyway, of course) and it was still moist!

To seperate the cream, you want to place your milk in a glass container that has a mouth that is wider then the base. Let it sit undisturbed for 24 hours.
You can then use a gravy ladle to skim off the cream.
It should be easy to see when you are getting to the milk, because the color is different.

If you have ever read Farmer Boy, you will remember that Almanzo's mother had what they called milk pans that the milk was placed in after the cows were milked.
Apparently, the more surface area you give the milk, the more cream you will get to rise.

We are blessed with a farmer who seperates for his clients.
Even at room temapture that cream will hardly pour out of the jars!

I second the living high on the hog.
Living in Alaska, allows us to eat much more nutrient dense foods then we could anywhere else.
Moose, Bear, 3 species of Salmon and many other fish. Plus, we are given things like fresh off the boat shrimp.
People visiting from out of state are shocked at how well we eat for almost free, LOL!
It leaves me the opportunity to share how they can eat just as well, if they wouls stop depending on the government to supply all their needs.

It's topped with a dollop of homemade yogurt and peaches (canned from summer) and blueberries (frozen from summer).

Question: Does this recipe truly call for 5 eggs, or did I read it wrong? I bought some cocoa powder tonight, but now am not sure about how many eggs to use!
