Hi all, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on an incubator that can handle turkey eggs? I am currently buying a Maticoopx for my chicken eggs but I am pretty sure turkey eggs won't fit in it's rails. Plus, I'd like a dedicated turkey incubator. Anyone have a tried and true? Preferably under $200, lol. It does not need to be able to incubate a ton at a time. Thanks in advance!

I have always used the nuture right 360 for goose and now turkey eggs so far has good development, but honestly we use broody hens more than we use incubators. Only downside is that the nuture right 360 turns eggs on their side and really should be used for shipped eggs. I was looking into the maxticoopx for an upgrade and but I am also afraid of it being to small for turkey eggs. My turkey eggs fit into the original turner of the nuture right 360.

You can also buy the bigger turners if your eggs don't fit the in the regular turner.

I bit the bullet and ordered the NR 360. I figured worse that happens is I hand turn eggs for a few days if I have to order a bigger turner. These aren't shipped eggs, are you saying this is machine is best for shipped eggs? 🤔 or maybe typo? Lol.

I showed someone I know who has a maticoop, my turkey eggs next to maran eggs. She said her maran eggs are a tight squeeze in the maticoop. So that told me turkeys were off the table 😅 I may still buy one eventually for my silkie/standard eggs. But the NR 360 will be good for my turkey and brahma hatching, at least.

I may have also decided screw it and ordered the Maticoopx as well to run side by side with my silkie eggs in it 🫣 So when it comes in I will share photos of how turkey eggs fit lol.

Did the turkey eggs fit? I just got the maticoopx for my turkeys eggs as it said duck eggs would fit.

Hey there! I did trial fit my turkey eggs and they seemed to fit in the trays. I can't speak for how many will fit in each row though, because both of my maticoops are full right now 😂 I will say I suspect you'll have to do the eggs laying down vs standing up, because they may knock into the other rows during rotation.

Hatched shipped BR turkey eggs in my NR. They were shipped from NY to TN. 8 out of 12 hatched. I hand turned because some of the eggs were extra large and would not fit in the turner.
From my experience, it is a pretty good incubator for shipped eggs.
