First check that the roof and floor are in good shape.Hey all! We are turning our shed into a coop for our girls next weekend and wondered if anyone has had experience or advice to offer. We are adding a door on the side and a window in the back. Other than that is there anything else we should add?View attachment 2042239

Yes, ventilation is important.
There's a couple good threads in adding windows and such to a metal shed, I'll see if I can find them.

HOT there, eh?I have updated it. Thank you! We are in Wilson, NC US.
Those walls look much more substantial that the typical metal shed. The road thus far. We still have to add the roosts and pan to catch.
Thanks it seems to be some kind of thick plastic. It is holding together pretty well when we cut into it though. I am hoping to start working on the roost and dropping pan area next weekend. Then pressure wash and paint! we are really excited! Thank you for the advice!HOT there, eh?
Will need to add mucho ventilation....(oh, we already mentioned that)
top hinged windows would be best, so they can stay open and shed rain.

Might be harder to cut thru but might not need so much framing for support.
