We had a guy that is in the Natn'l Guard with dh come and pick up all our extra roos. While he was here we were talking about goats, we told him we were thinking of getting a couple next year...
He told us to beware if we buy twin sisters as one will be infertile.
Is this true?
Thanks

I wonder if he is thinking cattle. If there are twin 1 boy/ 1 girl there is a good chance of girl being infertile.

sounded like something I would have heard before if it was true

dh said it probably wasn't true (he knows him, and said he is full of misinformation

But I figured I would run it by you guys since I knew I would get the right answer....

Well all my twin does have kidded before so this isnt true...I think I would beware if its quads or quints and 1 doe and 3 or 4 bucklings...to much testerone and it might make a difference. I know in cattle when twins bull/heifer the heifer has a 99% chance of being infertile but not in goats. If so we would all be in trouble, as we wish for does..So get sisters as that way they will be more comfortable and do well together.
