Two Sick Hens

Hello all. A few months ago we lost a three-year old chicken to water belly. Now today we have found two girls with juicy crops that make gurgling noises when u gently massage it and they vomit (in fact one threw up all down the back of me when I gently flipped her over to inspect her vent). Some loose stool and lethargy (though not terrible) as well. I immediately made a sick ward with just some water and apple cider vinegar for just those girls. I am suspecting sour crop, but one thing has me confused. They don't smell yeasty and the liquid isn't clear. Rather it's brown. Like muddy water and just plain stinky. Not horrendous, but most certainly not yeasty. Is there another thing I should be looking for or doing? Nothing in their environment has changed.
Thank you.

I feel like I've read them all. I guess the fact that it doesn't smell yeasty and was brown liquid is throwing me off...and how am I to know if this is caused by worms? Does one usually prophylactically just treat their hens periodically ?

A lot of people deworm their chickens symptomatically. It probably wouldn't hurt.
