Looking for help/advice. I noticed that one of my chickens had this unusual dropping when I went to go feed them. It's the first one I've seen like this and haven't seen anymore droppings like this throughout the day. About 3-4 weeks ago another chicken had runny droppings (pics below). I have done minor research and am worried if it could be coccidiosis. What do y'all think?

I have had these girls for about 4 months and my best layer recently stopped laying. They are all about 1 y/o. I also noticed a bit of a dirty butt in two of my girls.

Any advice and remedies would be helpful and appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Where are you located in the world?

They are all about 1year old, you've have them for a few months. What's your weather like and what do you feed?

I wouldn't necessarily lean toward Coccidiosis in adult hens and what you are mentioning is this is a 1 time poop today. The other was a 1 time poop 3-4 weeks ago.

You do not mention any symptoms of illness.

Take a sample of poop to your vet and have a fecal float to see if they need deworming.

What you feed, what they eat and how much they drink can all affect the texture, color and consistency of poop.

As for your best layer recently stopping laying, there's so many reasons for that, some just take a break at times.

Looks similar to coccidiosis, the best treatment for that is corid.
I did order some corid in liquid form. Might give them as I read on another thread that it's safe to give to them even if I'm not 100% sure it is Coccisiosis.

I'm located in the Central Coast of California, and its been pretty sunny with bits of rain here and there. They all seem to be happy and energetic.

I did notice the color of their droppings changed from brown to green when I decided to change their feed from TSC feed to a feed sold buy a local feed mill, and they love it. Thanks for the info.

As for the best layer, I feel she deserves a break as she laid eggs twice a day a few times and laid eggs throughout winter daily.

Yep it doesn't hurt them to give it even if your not 100% sure that's thw issue.
Make sure it's a fresh dose with fresh water daily for 7 days (i think it's been a while since I have had to give it)
