Pictures 1 and 2 are the same chick. The third fourth and fifth are the same. Both 7 weeks now. One has atypical plumage and the other has a pink comb but more traditional lacing. So confusing!!

That’s very encouraging. These are my son’s pets so we’re hoping for hens. No roosters allowed and my neighbors aren’t thrilled we have chickens at all. So we will keep an eye and ear out!! Thank you!Jsyk I had a pullet whose comb and wattle came in early and was bright in color for a long time. I thought for so long that she was going to be a roo until I got a roo and could really see the difference.
Thank you!!!It's still early. Nothing about the first's lacing is concerning (young birds often have poor lacing), and it's not unusual for wyandotte pullets to get a pink comb young. That said, I'd keep an eye on the one with the pink/red comb--it also appears to have pretty thick legs, which can also be a sign of a rooster.
Roo-specific feathering patterns on the shoulders often starts to come in around 11-12 weeks in black laced gold wyandottes, so check back in a couple weeks!
Thank you!!Both appear to be pullets.
