so i have a 2 week old apple yard that is breathing rapidly and opening its mouth. It isn’t overheating i don’t think as it’s not under heat and it’s just in the room. but it is like slightly opening its mouth and taking faster breaths than my other duckling. i can sort of hear it breathing whrn i put my ear up to it’s nose. i made sure it me nostrils werent obstructed by anything and they weren’t but still let it in a bath to flush it out. it is eating and drinking like normal but i love it and i’m really worried it will die. if anyone has any suggestions please let me know ASAP! i have a video but it won’t let me upload

What’s the brooder floor made from? Eg pine shavings, anything that could be dusty? It might have inhaled some, it could also have eaten a piece of substrate that is uncomfortable
When did this start?

Did you try to post the video on youtube, or BYC?

It is like a straw but too big for them too eat. I change it everyday as it gets messy. But their food is on a seperate plastic dish and i change the food and water every hour so it doesn’t go yuck. Should i switch straw for something else?

Straw can be sharp and pointy if they managed to eat a piece it could be poking them, are there definitely no small pieces?
I might switch to something softer but not dusty like shavings of some sort or coconut husk is what I use
