Hey all- 3 out of my 5 chicks hatched so far. The 1st, overnight last night & most recent,
Around 3pm today. They’re pretty dried and fluffy. But the other 2 eggs are pipped. How long can I leave the 3 in there with the unhatched eggs? Over night will be 24 hours for the first already.

Personally, I’d quickly get chicks out. But, of course, that’s dangerous for the hatching ones. Although if it were a mama hen, they’d be left for dead.

You can take them all out. Just opening it for half a minute or whatever to remove hatched chicks isn't a risk at all. Incubators are good and any humidity lost will be built back up quickly. If you left the top off for half an hour you might start to have a problem, but just a few minutes is no big deal.

It is not dangerous to open your incubator and get the hatch chicks out.
The quicker they start eating food the better for them.

That makes me feel better! I thought it was best to avoid opening the incubator at all.
