I used to have a rabbit I shared with my siblings. We had the best, most 'desirable' cage we could've and still had a couple family member ask why he was in such a little cage.

Trends in "properly" keeping animals will change constantly. You won't ever escape being judged by someone whose opinion differs, just as was said above.

I volunteered at an animal birthing exhibit at our state fair where people could watch sheep and dairy cows give birth live. People watching was more fun than the births! We had one lady quite distraught that a certain Holstein had no privacy curtains! I’ve also examined highly fit hunting dogs that were brought in because they were emmaciated (not obese) and had to tell the owner that our perception of a healthy weight in a dog is skewed! Most people mean well but don’t have a clue, do what works for you and your bunny and just laugh at the rest!
