Vaccinated Chicks with Coccidiosis

Hey Everyone I'm new here. I got my first batch of chicks from McMurray the first week of May (18 chicks but gave 4 to my friend). They were all vaccinated for Marek's and coccidiosis and have all been fed unmedicated feed since day one. We brooded them inside for the first 4 weeks but then moved them outside into a bigger brooder/ coop because they were starting to get cramped and started bickering enough for one to draw blood. Once we moved them, all was well and they were very happy outside and being put in at night. They've been out there for 9 days. My friend who took the 4 of them lost three the first night because she tried to put them under a broody hen. Well she wasn't broody enough and only one survived. She decided to keep that chick inside her house and has been healthy ever since.
Well this past Friday, my friend left for vacation so I took her chick to take care of it. At this point they are all 4 1/2 weeks and all healthy. Since she'd basically been alone with zero contact with any other birds for the past 4 weeks, I thought it would be okay to put her in with her long lost sisters since she's basically been on a 4 month quarentine). I did and everyone got along great.
She was with them with no problems for three days, and I packed her back up to bring her home. Monday she was fine but Tuesday morning she had bloody poop. I ran a fecal at my work (I work for a large animal vet) and found coccidia. We started her on Corid but this morning she died.
So now I'm KICKING MYSELF for not keeping her separate. My chicks seem completely normal... last night I went over their coop with a fine tooth comb looking for any trace of blood and couldn't find any. This morning I did see a tiny spec of blood on a piece of shavings but there was no poop near it so I'm not sure if someone got knicked of if it's the beginning of an outbreak. I feel like AN IDIOT for adding that chick to my flock.
So basically after all that rambling... should I start my flock on corid? I'm afraid to take the wait and see approach seeing as the chick that died was fine Monday and dead a little over 24 hours later.
And if I use corid on my girls, will that null the vaccine they recieved? I'm so worried about all of this and could really use some insight.
Oh and I'll add that I'm located in Mass.

If any are showing symptoms, I would treat.
The coccidiosis vaccine is not 100%, just like any vaccine. There are variables. Not every vaccine covers every strain of coccidia, and how it's administered matters. It's often sprayed on them at the hatchery, so it's possible that a chick can be missed. The spray vaccine is also dependent on them pecking and ingesting the vaccine off the others, so again, possible that one didn't. These links might help:

Coccidia 'vaccine' is a low dose of a very mild strain of coccidia, and is meant to help the chick develop immunity to coccidiosis, the disease cause by an overload of the organism in their environment.
Her chick likely had no exposure to dirt, and especially the dirt in your yard, and may have been overwhelmed by this sudden new environment and the move.
IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT!
Bad things happen, and it's one of those awful learning experiences that may never happen again anyway.
If your friend fed medicated chick starter, even for one day, that destroyed the positive effects of the coccidia vaccine in her chick.
I wouldn't expose my birds to any other bird from another flock, unless it was a 'sister flock' with no other exposure to any other outside birds. Biosecurity!
So sorry,
Mary

Do you think I should treat as a preventative just in case? I would hate to mess with giving them unnecessary meds, but am also equally scared to not treat and start losing chicks. I would also plan on giving them probiotics and nutri-drench after treating so restore their gut flora and give them a boost of vitamins. I never thought I'd be so worried about birds ...:barnie:lau

Just an update.... I started the Corid yesterday (1.5 tsp powder per gallon) and woke up this morning to a bunch of happy chicks eager to eat and drink BUT there is definitely a few piles of poop with blood in it :hit:hit I really hope I at least caught it early enough and that the Corid is effective on whatever strain on coccidia this is. :fl:fl
