Hello, we have been enjoying our 16 new chicks from Murry McMurrys Layers Choice group. They’re 3.5 weeks old. We have a few ideas as to breeds but would love some input from more seasoned chicken owners. The first photo has no tail feathers. We think the second photo maybe be a Roo. He has just a small set of tail feathers compared to the rest. Here are a few photos of their first field trip outside. Thank you.

Hello BerlynB, at this age its more challenging to tell, my chicks at this age were very questionable also leaving me wondering for a few more weeks.
Ide probably wait until their 4-5 wks of age, but for right now all look like females, but the first chick viewed in image 1 I'm most suspicious of turning out to be a little roo.
