Vet said Marek's, I'm not so sure. Help?

Update: She's also bobbing her head every once in a while like birds do to try to "swallow" what's stuck in their digestive tract.

Edit, attaching a picture again. Her crop is very big, no food today and she doesn't want to drink water.

Did you start to give her coconut or olive oil and massage her crop? Also give her probiotics and miconazole. If no improvement in a few days, you can try docusate sodium 100mg. Only give her one pill per day for two days! That thing is strong. One of my hens had very stubborn impacted/sour crop for over two months, and I had to repeat and rotate the treatments several times.

I gave her olive oil, but only a little. I have a syringe, so I may have to get it to her that way, into her esophagus. I'm wary of that since I've never done it! She hasn't wanted to drink water on her own since last night. I can get probiotics and miconazole too.

You can use a 1ml syringe to feed her oil and medicines. Here's how to do it: https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...dications-to-all-poultry-and-waterfowl.73335/

After giving her oil, massage her crop for 5~10 min. Sometimes you can feel her crop smaller during massaging it. Do this at least 3 times a day. It helps most cases very well, although some chickens need more help, such as docusate sodium and Epsom salt flushing.

Thank you, I will check this out!

Hello and welcome. Please read this article

https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...ntion-and-treatments-of-crop-disorders.67194/

Before treating for coccidiosis check for blood in her poop. Check the other birds too, under the roost is the easiest to monitor. Also look for worms. If you don’t see either, please check with your vet to see if they can send for a fecal float test. This will tell you what kind of worms your flock has, if any. It can also check for coccidiosis . Not all medications treat all worms. Fine to treat for coccidiosis regardless.

Monitor your other birds for any symptoms but it sounds like a crop issue with the squishy crop and smelly burps.

Good luck to you both!

Be careful to not massage a crop that is squishy and las liquid in it. Massage is better if the crop is firm or doughy. If you are near a feed store, get some Corid liquid or powder. It won’t hurt your chickens to try it just in case. Usually they get coccidiosis earlier, but if it has been rainy or there were older birds at one time, it could be that. A slow mushy crop can sometimes be seen in coccidiosis. Dosage of Corid is 2 tsp (10 ml) of the liquid or 1.5 tsp of the powder per gallon of water for 5-7 days. If you lose her, please contact your state vet lab now before that happens, to learn how to get testing and a necropsy. What state are you in? Here is a list of state vets to contact:
