This 3/15/19 report from California Department of Food and Agriculture indicates that there has been a SINGLE diagnosed case of incurable vND (virulent Newcastle Disease) from Alameda County.
I don't want to be alarmist but folks in NoCal should probably start being vigilant. Protect your birds! CDFA outlines the safety protocols. And submit any birds you're uncertain of for necropsy.
