Thinking of you and hoping you get answers SOON! And resolution, so you can feel better. :aww
Loss of a pound a week is a lot of weight loss. Maybe worry has contributed to this if it's causing you to eat less. Hope you can pack some nutrition/calories in so your body has the ammo it needs to heal. Those darn infections can be so pesky.
Sending healing thoughts your way.

I just seen this Kat and I am so sorry you are hurting. I am also sorry you have to wait cause I think that is the hardest part. I will be praying for you and your always on my mind.

Doctors are no fun that is for sure and now the wait is going to kill me also .. Let us know what you find out .Hope it is a easy fix.

I ran out of patience and called the doctor's office earlier. The nurse just called me back. She said there is "something" on my right kidney - I knew this because the ultrasound tech. took so many pics of the right kidney. The nurse said it's more than likely cysts (polycystic kidney disease), but they'll need the cytology report to be sure and it takes a full week.

For those not familiar, a cytology test checks for the presence of malignant cells.
If it is PKD, the nurse said I can look forward to frequent cytology tests and twice yearly ultrasounds. Still better than the alternative. It also puts me at increased risk for cerebral hemorrhage, so a cerebral angiogram will be necessary.
PKD would explain the frequent infections and pain. It doesn't explain the weight loss. Guess that something the nurse practioner and I will have to figure out.
Thanks for all the good wishes and prayers. I'll let you know what the cytology report says.
