Hi, all! It's the end of chicken-buying season, and Cackle (the only hatchery with both sexed bantams and cheap shipping) is totally sold-out of bantams.

I am looking for a pullet or young hen in NH (or nearby VT, MA, and ME). Buff, blue, splash, partridge, or possibly another light-colored Cochin bantam (not white). Or a Buff brahma.

If anyone has one or knows of one, PLEASE let me know! I am a 4Her and need the bird this fall in order to train for the next show.

Check out the breeders list for New England. There are some Partridge Cochin chicks in Derry but I don't think they are batam.

Don't forget the Deerfield fair and the Poultry show in late October (I think) held on the Deerfield fairgrounds.
