Beautiful photo. Is that Mt. Rainier
I'm wondering if it's weather related. We have always had red tails around here but this year barely any. I'm not in Washington State but CA so it's still just weird to me.We had an owl around last year - would hear it early in the morning - but no signs of one since.
I’m still trying to figure out the Hawk situation which is why I posted here. I thought even Red Tails went South but maybe some Canadian hawks migrate to here, but not sure. Will keep researching unless someone chimes in. It’s just odd as this summer was really the first time we saw them regularly. Eagles were always an issue, but not the hawks - at least that we know of.
OMG! Those are beautiful eggs.Beauty... I love the dark feathered chickens.
I wonder how many of those are edibles. It would be nice to know.I saw a bunch of mushrooms growing in my yard, so I decided to take a hike in the woods with my camera and see what I could find. There's quite a variety out there. The fungus among us!

That is just far too close for me. I believe if it got any closer I would definitely be culling it up for free food.
I really don't know. I don't like to take chances eating unfamilar mushrooms. Morels are the only type of mushroom I can positively identify as an edible.I wonder how many of those are edibles. It would be nice to know.
