Hey all absent a few days having lot's to help Richard.
Super great news Kidney stone has passed!
Okay I will buy a few pullets this spring.
Great news on Richard!!! And happy you are getting some chicks!!! I thought you had stopped with chickens. Glad I misunderstood that.

Good to hear! Kind of hard not to be thinking about getting new chicks this time of year.

My five hens are getting back into the swing of things. They gave me 5 eggs yesterday and 5 eggs again today. Good chickens!

Lucky you...we're lucky to have 1 or 2 right now. Did get 3 one day. But, like I've said...bunch of old ladies here. If someone doesn't go broody for me I'll have to get a few chicks. :(

Finally got my garden starters planted in the greenhouse. Several tomatoes, some bell peppers and a bunch of herbs. So happy to get it done. It is 70 degrees in there with grow lights. Should work. :woot
Nice! I'm going to wait until early April to start my tomato seeds, and plant them in the garden around the first of June.

ETA: but my peppers, I'm thinking about slapping a simple greenhouse over one of my raised beds for them. I think they'd do better with the extra heat.
