Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

What a great idea! I never even thought about the red rocks. I'll have to think about where I would put them. I have red paint and I have rocks!

How old are your chicks? Mine stopped going under the heat as soon as they feathered out. We took the Sweeter Heater out a few weeks ago and recently took the black light out too. They are doing just fine. They cuddle up together.

In fact, we took the Sweeter Heater out just about the time you were ordering the black light. I thought about lending it to you just a couple days too late. :(

Thanks for the compliment on my garden. I sure hope it does okay this year. Have sure not had a lot of luck lately.
The chicks are around 5 weeks, more or less. I just finished putting up a new roost bar for the chicks, a dead 2" tree branch covered with a thick layer of moss. It took them about 10 minutes to get on it, and it seems like they like it. It's about 2 feet high.

Here's the new roost...

Well, you have all warned me to wait a few weeks, but with the temperature getting up to 80 on Thursday, I'm getting these tomatoes in the ground. It will get too hot in the greenhouse. So, we shall see what happens.
When I harden off tomatoes I put them in a wheeled cart and wheel them out of the greenhouse during the day (unless weather is too cool/nasty) and back in at night. It's a bit of extra work but works for me.

Then again I don't plant nearly as many as you have so it's manageable to do it that way.
