Water Incubating Eggs?

is that due to the limited o2 in the bag... what if a BIGGER bag was used?
and why do you feel it would die?

Just thinking of new ways to incubate that are more temp stable ect.. I am learning a LOT here.. this place is awsome!

How long would you last inside a ziplock bag for 18 days?

There needs to be air-flow around the egg for oxygen and moisture movement... you would just cook an egg in an incubator in a bag. More research required.

The developing chick breathes THROUGH the shell! The egg needs way too much oxygen than you would be able to utilize. It also needs to expell CO2 and moisture. An egg sealed in any type of enviroment would suffocate or drown in its shell. I applaud your thinking outside the box! But sofar it wont work! As for the tank in a tank.... It would deffinately be stable but as mentioned before the humidity issue must be addressed. The same stabilization could be achived with just adding a big sealed bucket of water. I have used a large ziplock full of water in the bottom of the bator and it worked great! I used it in an LG bator. I hate LG!!! But the bag of water helped to stop the temp fluctuations!

Good Luck and God Bless!
