We just successfully hatched a cracked mallard egg scotch taped since day 5 of incubation

A lot of people have said it couldn’t be done so wanted to share that our first of 10 duck eggs hatched and it was a cracked egg that we scotch taped on day 5 of incubation. He is now named Scotch :)
If anyone in CT is interested in Cayuga babies let me know.
Also- looking for Frizzle hatching eggs and golden laced Wyandotte. Any help on where to begin looking would be greatly appreciated. I’d rather pickup local then ship.
wish we lived closer im looking for Cayuga female for my male Cayuga named lucky...he was the only one that survived a big raccoon massacre all 15 got killed except him..this was at my nbrs house he said i could keep the last duck that survived.

Sorry to hear that!! I wish you did also, I have 3 babies and another currently hatching in incubator.
 
Sorry I meant the wax. They have a lot of heavy breeds and they sometimes crack eggs getting in and out of the nest boxes.
