Quick update. One of the leghorns has blood around her rear end this morning so I now know which one of them it is. Trying to get a vets appointment today
So my main vet doesn't know anything about chickens. Avian vet is closed til 10th March. So I sent the pics to the British Hen Society and they said they've never seen anything like it. The colour drained from her face today so I separated her from the rest. Later in the day bleeding stopped and colour came back. She's eating and drinking ok. I'll have another go at finding an avain vet tomorrow. It's really odd!
This is a pretty rare problem, so I wonder if a vet would even know. Please keep us informed of her condition, and if anyone offers a diagnosis. Can you try some human calcium in the meantime? I wonder if she could have cancer. Please keep us informed of her condition.
