Weird rumbling, vibrating sound at night- anyone else dealing with it?

I thought I was literally losing my mind until I stumbled across someone else who is going through the same thing. There's a noise at night, its such a low frequency you can hardly hear it some nights, and it causes our bodies to feel like they're vibrating inside like a tuning fork. Its causing horrible panic attacks- numbness, nausea, shaking, terrors... its absolutely awful. We've been tested for MS, had MRi's and CAT scans, gone by squad thinking we're having strokes and/or heart attacks. I've followed it some 20+ miles one night when it was particularly loud, my dad was able to hear it and feel it. It actually shook the car when I stopped.

The stress is causes our bodies is exhausting- anyone who has stress or anxiety disorders would understand the physical toll of a single panic attack- let alone nightly ones, or ones that literally last for days at a time. We've been sleepless for days on end with this thing. Its just horrible.

We have no idea what it is. Its almost like a jet plane in the distance, or a freight train far far off- it rumbles and cycles. wooooomwooooomwoooooomwooooom. it is absolutely horrible. There's videos that we found online of similar noises- i guess there was one during an oreols game in florida, and other states too. Its been on the news in other areas, but they dont know what it is. Iam thinking maybe there's a wind farm some place that just opened or something. Its only been going on since august.

Anyone else? Anyone?
YES!! We have it here at my house in Salem, MA too

Also- its ONLY at night! Why would turbines work only at night? Or maybe its just that the day is too noisy? BUt I dont' feel the vibrations during the day...

duramaxgirl- it is SO awful. You can't even imagine. Had I not found this neighbor/friend who also is suffering through it I literally would have gone to get my head shrinked. I haven't encountered other people who hear it. Its kinda a scary thing to ask people if they hear noises that only you hear, you know? I dont want people to think iam crazy...
I'm dealing with the same right now and I have alot of good reasons to believe it's boreing tunnels underneath us ugh

hi i see this is a very old post but i was just searching for anyone online that was feeling vibrations late at night / early morning i’ve been feeling these for some time now and my husband thinks i’m crazy. i felt them when i lived in LI, NY and i assumed it was the fuel holding tanks nearby receiving fuel but i don’t think that’s what it was. Now I just moved to a rural area in the north west part of SC and i feel the exact same thing! it wakes me up sometimes it’s almost like a distant jackhammer sound and it’s got a pattern i can hear like dddddddd and then a quick pause and then dddddddddd over and over . anyone still feeling this?

This is what is happening to me too. I am next to the Twenty nine Palms Marine base. Could this be some kind of "weapon"? Last night it was so intense my heart & brain were shaking inside me. I know it makes me feel sick.

You are not alone. As a physician this is very alarming to me. I have the same problem--sleep deprivation from the vibrations that occur at night.

I have searched the internet to find several people complaining of "vibrations" and noise. To solve this problem, we may have to pool our information about our symptoms, locations. As a group maybe we can afford to get the right engineers to measure and record what type of energy is causing this as well as the frequencies involved.

Maybe if there are enough of us, we can petition the federal and state governments to do something about this. So many people are blaming the government, the military, etc., but they have no concrete evidence as to who or what is happening.

Have you tried to record the noise you hear? I have been able to get evidence of physical vibrations and harsh weird sounds occurring when I feel I am under "attack."

To me these high-pitched noises and vibrations are no joke. I live in Frederick MD, just a stone's throw up the road from Ft. Detrick Army base. Feel free to email me at [email protected].

It's not a mystery. It's the military developing sonic wheapons similar to what the Russians used on the U.S. Embassey in Havana a few years ago.

Today's conspiracy theory.

Nope Avalon, its not trash trucks and dumpsters. I've followed the noise, its far away- not local.

Smileycat i am really wondering if its a wind turbine. I've read where in the UK its causing some serious health issues related to stress and anxiety in people. But I dont know where there would be any around here. I've googled it- the sound comes from the north east, more easterly than notherly- which suggests east of bennington vermont, or maybe some place around manchester. Manchester talked a few years ago about a wind farm, but I can't find where they've put one in. I can't find any of them around here. I know there's some in the berkshires, but thats pretty far south of me. It seems we can feel and hear these sounds as far as saratoga springs some nights. So thats a hell a lot of distance... thats about 50 miles from as far as I chased the sound. What can do that? Can turbines do that? AND cause the houses to vibrate, and the cars? I mean, if i have a door in the house ajar it'll swing back and force slightly on its hinges from it. And we have cracks in our walls and ceilings that have only just developed since this started in August.
Do you still hear this?
I'm in the south east uk and I can only hear it when there is total silence at night.
When I lay down I can hear it more when my head is on the pillow but I can also hear it in other rooms.
I turned my electric off and I can still hear it.
If I plug my ears I cant hear it so its not in my head I'm quite sure of that.
Its such a low sub sound,I thought there might be road works miles away or something but there isn't cant hear it when there is white noise so during the day I cant hear it.
I've had the neighbours turn off their pump one night but it was still there.
Its a constant woom woom noise and its driving me nuts ,I cant get to sleep once I hear it.
I dont think I would hear it if I went outside as any white noise kills it.

It sounds like a pump underground or something, its constant
But I
