I have a picture of a soft shelled egg, this was when my hen was sick and now she’s better. It was such a relief. I didn’t eat it, but that’s the only funny egg I have on my phone.

The first time I picked up a soft shell egg I dropped it cause it felt so weird to me!

My polish like a week ago laid her third egg and it had a rubber-like membrane shell! We thought she was egg bound because she was acting like it but not as bad so I bathed her in Epsom salt and set her down on a towel in our kitchen! She laid it and started acting normal again!

One time my Leghorn was egg bound - at least I thought she was - and, when she finally pushed the egg out after two days, it was a little rubber egg and it popped like a water balloon when it hit the ground.

No. The chick is the egg white and it lives off the yolk.
