We got a mixed bag- 2-Leghorns, 6 Isabrowns, 2-black Australopes and 2 Blue Plymouth. So far, they are playing nice with each other-although hubby said he went in and a brown was trying to peck one of the leghorns. He shooed her away and I haven’t experienced any bullying-yet!

I fear the “novelty” will wear off-and come next spring people will discard them or people didn’t really do their homework and have no idea how to raise them properly. I say that because all of these places are selling out of the chicks, but they have PLENTY of coops available. Yea, egg prices are high, but I doubt they stay this way-and a bird, even the IsaBrowns are at least a 3 year commitment. Just my .02 centsHello, and welcome to BYC.
