I've got a 7 month old welsummer that's been coughing, sneezing and breathing hard for past three weeks. Comb is red, she eats, drinks, acts normal. Lays eggs still. She has no eye bubbles or discharge. I've been keeping coop/run clean. It's a little dusty. Good ventilation and shes the only one out of twenty five in there acting that way. I've been using vetrx every other day on her beak and under wings, top of head but it's not improving. Any suggestions?

She may have something irritating her nostrils such as a piece of feed stuck or the dust in the feed or coop could also do that. Infectious bronchitis virus is a common disease that chicken get which causes sneeze every few minutes and some congestion, and lasts about 3 weeks. Wrinkled egg shells may also be seen since it can affect the oviduct. But if no other birds are having symptoms, that is unlikely. Usually IB virus will quickly affect everyone in the flock over several weeks.
