Hi Everyone!

I will be traveling through MA on my way to Manchester NH from NYC. I am planning on going sometime in the next month. I have a cousin there who is building a coop. She just had a b-day and I would like to get her a hen for her b-day

She wants a variety of laying hens/pets. Not being a chicken person myself, I have done some research and think that Faverolle or Cochin (frizzle) would be suitable Although I am open to other breeds that are docile and tame. I am looking for only one as a birthday gift. I am looking for someone not too far out of the way, who would be willing to sell me just one hen. If you do not have any available, any info would be greatly appreciated.
