Easter egger 2 years old. Heard a scuffle and found her laying down with both legs sprawled back. It seems she had laid an egg next to her that the others ate? I picked her up and pushed her legs under her. She started trying to walk but falls. What should I do?

If you haven't separated her from the group you should do that so she doesn't get picked on.

It sounds like she might have had a little seizure. They do flap around a lot when that happens.

I would try giving her some electrolytes for energy and keep her calm and comfortable to see if she perks up. The legs splayed back isn't usually a good sign.

Has she had difficulty laying eggs?

I just found this. I hope that is all it is:

She had actually laid an egg. It was broken next to her. The others had started picking on her but she’s separated now. She cat seem to walk because her toes are curled up but she is now alert and ate some scrambled eggs and mealworms

I would keep her separated close to food and water, and make sure that she is eating and drinking. She may have been attacked by another chicken, or she could have been showing some unusual behavior that caused the flock to attack her. Can you look for any green bruising, redness, or swelling along her legs up into the feathers? Does she lay eggs pretty regularly? Sometimes they may have some temporary lameness due to being egg bound. A chicken sling chair might be something to think about making if she doesn’t start walking soon. Here are some good examples post 5, 11-14:

How’s she doing now?
She was alert all day eating and drinking but rarely moving. Her toes are curled in both legs. I gave her rooster booster vitamin b12 and am hoping for a good night. She also pooped and it looked normal..

Was the egg a soft shelled egg or just a membrane?

Is she pooping? What's that like?

I'd start her on extra Calcium asap. Give 1 Calcium Citrate+D3 tablet once daily for a week. You can find this at Walmart, CVS, etc.

See that she's staying hydrated. B12 is fine, but I'd consider getting a bottle of B-Complex and give her 1/4 tablet once daily so she gets B2(Riboflavin), B1 (Thiamine) and the other B's not just B12 which is Cobalamin.

If her toes in both feet are curled, then she needs B complex that has b2 riboflavin and all other B’s. B 12 is not what she needs. Have you added any new birds in recent weeks or months?

No new birds but I have her B complex and she has been standing. She still can’t walk.. but she’s eating drinking pooping..
