What’s Your Favorite Christmas Ornament or Decoration?

My little fiber optic tree I bought at Shopko over 30 years ago. Plug her in and away we go.

Mine's a little table-top non-anything tree with one bulb lol.

Actually, we do sometimes go to town and buy a tree from the Vets, but then it's a pain as we're in the country so have to throw it in the forest somewhere. In the city, at least they came and picked them up.

We don't do a real tree. Haven't in a long time. I have goats that would gobble the tree up if we did. I think some places do have goats eat them up now. They are like piranha,

My favorite ornament was lost years ago. It was one of those tiny ornaments made for a tabletop tree, and was mushroom house inhabited by anthropomorphised mice. The top of the mushroom house was cutaway like in a dollhouse and had a little armchair next to a Christmas tree.

I think my favorite is this annoying thing we have.It’s Santa and frosty dressed up like gangsters in a low rider.It plays “low rider” and bounces up and down.My mom used to purposely not change the batteries.

I have a lot of bird ornaments in general though I favor partridges, peacocks and doves the most. This is my favorite ornament, we call it the disco peacock. It was one of the first ornaments I bought for myself back when I started collecting in college, so it was a splurge at the time.

Mine is a crochet angel my DW made 30+ yrs ago still goes on top every yr. Hardened with sugar water and still maintaining original shape.

This is a special ornament (my favorite), because I made it with the feathers I collected from my sweet Bobwhite Quail, Toffee. He passed away from very old age (heart attack and quickly passed as I was holding him one morning ).

He was my first house-raised Bobwhite. Not like a typical Bobwhite at all. He was sweet, liked being held, and he just ‘fit’ so well in our family. I miss the tiny guy.

I don’t like sharing a sad story on Christmas, but this homemade ornament is by far my favorite.

That's such a great idea! I've seen those bulbs you can fill yourself but never thought of putting our beloved poultry feathers in one as a keepsake of them. That is awesome!

Thank you, Debbie. I smile every time I look at it. I think it’s a nice way of showing how special he will always be to me.
