What am I doing wrong? Please help!

Newly hatched chicks don't typically eat/drink for the first 24-36hrs IME. They just absorbed all that yolk and hatched and are full and tired. I'll dip their beak in the water and show them the food on day 2. And again on day 3 if I don't see them getting it on their own. Once I observe them eating and drinking on their own they are good. Even if it's just 1 or two chicks I see doing it, the rest will follow.
