What are the sex of these button quail?

I love the cute little sounds they make. I know at least one of them crows or so I’ve been told. I just don’t know which one or if it’s possibly both. Hopefully I’ll know soon.

Both sexes will crow (differently but so similarly that I can never work out who makes which sound) but only the boys make a spooky, wind whistling type noise.

Well I just saw them mating. So I must have a male and a female.

Scratch that. I think I have two boys. They mate each other. Lol idk if that’s normal but I don’t feel like it is. So having two males, they could still be alright together? They seem to get along most of the time.

They'll be fine together, and yes, that's what male quail will do in the absence of female company - totally normal. If you do introduce two females you will need to split them into two cages as they are happiest living as one pair to a cage (otherwise there will be fighting and they can be vicious little things).

Yeah. They get along so I’m not going to change anything right now. Maybe once I’m used to them more, I’ll expand.
