I have four 3 1/2 week old chicks that I purchased from my local Atwoods. The bins weren't marked with breeds. I've been told different breeds when I've asked. The two black chicks are frizzled bantam cochins I'm almost positive on that those but the other two chicks I'm not sure at all. I'll include as many pics as possible. The first ones will be of my tiniest black one, followed by my two light ones, then last ones will be my other black chick. I'm a newbie, so I'm still learning. I don't know if anyone can tell me the actual breed and gender of any of these four babies. Any help/info is greatly appreciated.

Ok, knowing the light ones are most likely females is good news but oh it makes me sad to think both frizzles are cockerels, I was afraid to admit that's exactly what I was thinking so far. I was really hoping at least one of them would be a female. Do you have any idea how well they could do if I were to keep both cockerels? I currently also have 8 Easter Egger hens and one backyard mix hen. And one last question if you could answer it, can these frizzles mate with regular size hens? I don't know if that would be an issue or problem.

You could try to keep both if you want to. Since they'll be raised together they may get along just fine. It's a wait and see kind of thing. Or you could sell or give one or both away if you don't want the extra expense of feeding them. And yes, bantam roosters can mate with standard size hens. Cochins bantams are on the large side for bantams.

Thank you so much for your time!
