What breed and sex?

I incubated my first ever round of 6 eggs in September from a random assortment of eggs. I hatched 1 adorable little yellow fluff ball. The chick was clearly lonely, so I ran out and got it the closest companion I could find: a 2 week old unknown breed chick.

Fast forward a month: my little yellow one is feathering out pure white as far as I can tell, but I have no idea what it is. The black one is fully feathered and I'm leaning towards barred rock.

What I'm really curious is about the sex of the barred rock. I would have said pullet, but based on the comb coming in, I'm starting to wonder if it's a roo?

Thoughts on either are appreciated!

The head spot IS rather bright like you would see on a young cockerel but the overall feathering is on the darker side like a pullet! Ha! Aren't I a big help?

My thoughts too, the barred rock has a big comb, but it is not double barred. So I think pullet.

Mmm hmmm, but I am ignoring the comb altogether because I've had a few pullets that had big combs. They grew up into hens with combs almost as big as their male counterparts.

I'd like to see this chick again in a week or two!

They can also have black and pink feet

The feet on this chick are yellow with a dark wash, exactly what a PBR would have.

White is the same as pink when it comes too foot color.

They can also have black and pink feet

The feet are definitely yellow, which is why I'm leaning towards barred rock.
