They look like Black Australorp in the face. The egg color they came from throws me though. Australorp lay brown eggs. I am thinking they may be mixed if they came from white eggs.

Some do. Some don't. And some that have them, when they're out foraging and free ranging all day, the feathers wear off.

Could you post a photo of the chick's head? I think I see a rose comb, which would make it a Black Wyandotte or a mix of that breed.
