I have never seen those before! They look like my D’Uccle henIf you want a similar, more common breed, I would look into pyncheon bantams
Looks like Greenfire Farms has large fowl Sulmtaler hatching eggs for sale at the moment.Looks about correct. Do you know where to get some purebred Sulmtaler eggs? (my urge to buy more chickens is coming back..)
There was a member here recently looking for Pyncheons and they were coming up empty, even for birds that weren't correct for the SOP. It also seems that any hatcheries that were selling them have stopped in the last couple years. If you want a similar, more common breed, I would look into pyncheon bantams
Ah, I thought that they were still showing up at tractor supply and other feed stores. Though I believe they’re still more common than Sulmtaler bantams.Looks like Greenfire Farms has large fowl Sulmtaler hatching eggs for sale at the moment.

In my somewhat limited research it appears they are both extremely rare here in the US. It looks like the Sulmtaler bantams are all or mostly in the UK/Europe.Ah, I thought that they were still showing up at tractor supply and other feed stores. I do, but my breeder friend lives in Austria, so not a real option I'm afraid.Looks about correct. Do you know where to get some purebred Sulmtaler eggs? (my urge to buy more chickens is coming back..)
