What color is "barn red"?

I am having a difficult time finding the right paint chip for these pretty "barn red" coops I see. What is the name and brand of a nice "barn red" you have used?

Actually, if you go to Farm Supply store, they might have exactly what you are looking for already in a can. Otherwise, ask the paint counter if there is a color called "barn red". They just might have one called that. But there is a mix of paint that is suitable for barns and outbuildings if you can find it.
If you put up where (in general) you are from, state and region, then someone on here might be able to tell you right where to go.

True Value and Ace Hardware usually have red Barn and Fence paint. Make sure you use good exterior paint or it will fade into pink... If you start painting and don't like the color, put some white trim around it. Lots of times the color doesn't look right until you get the trim up.

Yep, check Ace. There's also "barn & fence green" and "barn & fence white"...

Also Lowe's and Home Depot .. Barn Red and John Deer Tractor Green are staples ..

I found a great color at Lowes for my coop! It's their Valspar paint and part of their Historic Preservation series. It's called Mark Twain House Brown. Even though the name says "brown" it's really more of a red-brown, I think the perfect barn color. I did my trim in "brown velvet" and I just think it looks terrific, my perfect mini barn!
