What different breeds are in this 4 year old roo?

I have had him for 4 years now but I still can’t wrap my head around what he is. My guess is that he is a bielefelder/rhode island red mix but I need a more professional opinion. Can you help me figure out what he is?

I don't know anything about breeds, but he is a handsome bird.

I remember reading somewhere that you can attempt to determine the breed of a mixed rooster by breeding it with a hen that you know the breed of and seeing what sort of characteristics the chicks have.
