What Dog Breed Do You Want Today!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

It's perfect!

That makes a lot of sense. I see why someone would like them so much. Are boxers considered protective? Dobermans are also big goofs but they are definitely protective and need careful attention when around strangers (at least some of them)
Boxers can be very protective, but they also can shut it off easily. I would say the only downside to boxers is their enthusiasm and leaping about. They are named boxers for a reason. Expect some punches when they are younger.

Mine have always been between friendly and wary of strangers. If something is off they often will stand at your side and give a soft growl. I always trust my boxers, and feel safe with one at my side. They are said to be good hearing guard dogs meaning they pick up on sounds and will alert if something is amiss.

They honestly sound like a great breed!

Yeah, they are super pretty. And I have heard they have less of the husky and are no where near as stubborn. So that’s good!
They actually originated from coyotes and the dogs of the first settlers of America such as collies. (Please correct me if I am wrong, This is what I was told by an owner and breeder of the breed) the Native Americans kept the dogs because of their excellent temperament and natural protective instincts. They make great hunters, herders and protectors. The breed almost went extinct at one point but is now making a comeback.😄
